6 Yet among the mature we do speak wisdom, though it is not a wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are being destroyed. 7 But we speak God’s wisdom, a hidden mystery, which God decreed before the ages for our glory 8 and which none of the rulers of this age understood, for if they had, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. 9 But, as it is written,
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard,
nor the human heart conceived,
what God has prepared for those who love him”—10 God has revealed to us through the Spirit, for the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. 11 For what human knows what is truly human except the human spirit that is within? So also no one comprehends what is truly God’s except the Spirit of God. 12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world but the Spirit that is from God, so that we may understand the gifts bestowed on us by God. 13 And we speak of these things in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual things to those who are spiritual.
There are some holy mysteries.
We can find as much joy in giving as in receiving.
We can learn to serve, love, and care for others.
We can humble ourselves, and be exalted by Almighty God.
Paul wrote that the Spirit searches everything, even the depths of God. And that Spirit can guide us in better ways than our human spirits. If we allow ourselves to be led by that Spirit
We can experience a peace that passes understanding ……
Prayer
It has been said that life is not a problem to be solved, but a mystery to be lived. Let me revel in your Spirit and learn from You to truly live. Amen.
Thank you Steve and Callie. I read these devotionals every day and find them so valuable and relatable. In a world of so much turmoil I pray that more people would be open to the Spirit and let It guide them. To paraphrase an old song “What a wonderful world that would be”.
Thank you…your devotions always remind me to be an instrument for His glory.
