The Day of Resurrection is in the list of hymns I like to have us sing for Easter. Where most all Easter hymns hit some of the key themes of resurrection day, this song reminds us of the promises of forgiveness and grace dwelling in the Old Testament:
The Passover of gladness, the Passover of God ……
God has indeed let death and destruction pass over each of us through the death and resurrection of Christ.
Prayer
Wonderful God, since Christ our Lord has risen, our joy truly knows no end. Let the good news of Your grace and forgiveness be my reason for joy on this side of Easter. Amen.
