1 Lord, you have been our dwelling place[a]
in all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth
or ever you had formed the earth and the world,
from everlasting to everlasting you are God
Those who collected the Psalms for the scriptures noted that Psalm 90 is A Prayer of Moses, the man of God:
God’s Eternity and Human Frailty
Moses was described in the Bible as someone who spoke to God face to face. How did Moses view his “friend”?
God was the great Creator.
God was here before the mountains, the earth, and the world – from everlasting to everlasting.
And God has been (and will be) our dwelling place.
With that type of history and that type of relationship, we are in good company. God is our dwelling place. We are secure in God’s care.
Prayer
Thank you, God, for making me. And thank you for loving and protecting me. Thank you for being my secure home. Amen.
