Inviting book lovers to come Tuesday, November 18th at 3pm in the Price Library to share the book, The Day the World Came to Town: 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland by Jim DeFede.
This true story starts when 38 jetliners bound for NYC were forced to land at Gander International Airport in Canada by the closing of U.S. airspace on September 11. The population of 10,300 swelled to nearly 17,000 as something rather remarkable happened during a challenging time. Their story inspired the Broadway Musical, “Come from Away”.
