In singing our faith in the Fall of the year, we echo harvest and stewardship hymns, hint at All Saints’, and then move to Thanksgiving. Here at our first transition, a hymn of adoration seems appropriate.
O Come and Sing unto the Lord (Hymn 638 in the Glory to God Hymnal) is a paraphrase of Psalm 95 which bids to come to our Lord and Savior with joyful songs and thankful praise.
Singing Faith is how we praise God. So:
O come, and bowing do to God our worship let us bring;
Yea, let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker and our King.
Prayer
Let the tunes and tones of my praise be an appropriate response of worship to you, My Maker, Lord, and King. Amen.
