Psalm 100:5 says, “For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” Friends, our God is good. So good. But life doesn’t always feel good, does it? Life is tough, heartbreaking, stressful, depressing, take just about any negative word and that can describe life sometimes. The bad seems to find us around every click on social media, turning on the evening news, or sad news from a loved one. But we have HOPE. We have God and He is all we need. Because of Him, even when life throws every curve ball we can imagine at us, He is good, and He is right there with us through it all. The situation may not be good, but He always is.
I don’t think I would make it 10 minutes into my morning routine of getting the kids dressed and ready for school, if it weren’t for God. Mornings are not Grace’s favorite time of day and there are usually tears, tantrums, and all sorts of loud cries before the sun even rises. But God is good. He gives me the strength I need to endure it, and we keep pressing on, until Saturday comes and then she gets to sleep in. I’m sure we can all chuckle at this, but He is there in the little things and at 6:50 every morning, life doesn’t feel that good to me. But then 3 p.m. comes and I have a happy little girl, eager to share all about her day at school. But through it all God is good. Through the tears, tantrums, and early mornings, He’s right there and He is good.
Prayer
Thank you, Lord, for your goodness. Thank you for always being there with us and helping us through all that comes our way. We know you are so good, and we are so thankful. Amen.
