For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.
— Matthew 18:20

Just this Tuesday, several of our staff had a fun moment. We had two eagles visit our church along with some hawks. For a few minutes, we stood outside in awe just watching these eagles fly, perch, and soar above our heads. We are often inside gathering in offices and spaces, but it was so lovely to have this moment outside together standing in the warmth of the sun and admiring God’s creation. It’s amazing in moments like these where you get to pause life and all the doing that we must do and we just get to enjoy. It was a good moment. We laughed, smiled and were grateful for this little break in the day.
Moments like this one are truly a gift from God. They don’t cost a thing and are the good stuff of life. These little interactions in the day are some of my favorite things about life. You might have a moment standing in the check out line with a stranger. I had a laugh with someone last week when the elevator I was on felt more like “Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride.” I saw a man dancing while holding a “Slow” sign at a construction zone. I laughed and smile and then he laughed and smiled. This is the good stuff, the God moments in the day, when we can delight in the ways that God brings us together.
Prayer
Awesome God, you give us moments when we can connect with one another and it brings smiles to our faces. We are reminded that when two or three are gathered in your name that you are with us. Thank you for the ways that we feel your presence when we are together and the reminder that we are never alone. Amen.

Beautiful!
