Matthew 5:7
7Blessed are the merciful, for they will receive mercy.
Some of my life is guided by scripture. And some of my life is guided by slogans. I’m pretty sure this next phrase is more slogan than scripture – but it has been a point to ponder in my life:
What goes around comes around.
Those who slow mercy often receive mercy. Jesus promised that, and I’d like to anticipate it.
Prayer
God, help me to be kind and merciful in all that I do. Let me be known for merciful acts, as I live as a disciple of my Lord and Savior, Jesus, in whose name I pray. Amen.
