ALL CHURCH RETREAT

2 Timothy 13-14

Hold to the standard of sound teaching that you have heard from me, in the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. Guard the good treasure entrusted to you, with the help of the Holy Spirit living in us.

We have so many exciting and Spirit-filled events, worship, and activities in the life of First Presbyterian Church in the spring that, for some, the All-Church Retreat is overlooked on the calendar. And especially, as we had a great weekend away at Cedarkirk Camp and Conference Center, it is a shame. This photo is one I defiantly wanted to share with fondness of seeing our youngest disciples enjoying their time of faith, food, and fellowship during the Retreat. The children, youth, and adults enjoyed the movie as well as being able to connect across the ages in guided conversations as well as in the time to explore together. Some took advantage of nature and splashed in the river, some gathered rocking on the porch and others were able to truly fly on the zipline. So many smiles, and prayers and food to truly see God’s presence at the Retreat is one to not miss the next spring.

Prayer

Ever-Present Lord, we offer prayers for those who were able to gather in faith and love under the cedars for the All-Church Retreat. We pray that we too may experience your amazing grace when we enjoy fellowship with other disciples in this summer sun. Guide and direct us as your disciples young and young-at-heart, now and forever, Amen.
