A Sunday Morning Baptism

Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
—Acts 2:38

I think we can all agree, little Noah Wall is a cutie. He’s precious and on his baptism day, it was no different. I also love the fact that Dr. Negley typically walks the children around after their baptism so the congregation can see them up close and personal. It’s neat to see the children’s faces as they look out into the congregation and meet their new brothers and sisters in Christ.

“In baptism, we are called to a new way of life as Christ’s disciples, sharing the good news of the gospel with the world.” I feel like every time we witness another baptism; we “renew” our baptismal vows as well. Watching a little one come to Christ gives us hope for the future and helps us all to draw closer to our Lord.

Prayer

Father God, help every day to be like our baptism day. May we be full of the Holy Spirit and ready to share the Good News of the Gospel with everyone we meet. Amen.
