The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
—Psalm 19:1

There’s something about a beach sunset that always calms me down. Standing in the sand, listening to the waves, watching the sky slowly turn orange and pink. It’s hard not to slow down and just take it in. I even notice that the people around me pause and get quiet to take in the site. In moments like that, I think of Psalm 19:1.
When I watch a sunset, it really does feel like the sky is showing God’s glory. The colors, the light on the water, the way everything seems to slow down for a few minutes. It reminds me that the beauty I’m seeing isn’t random. It’s the work of God’s hands.
God didn’t have to make sunsets beautiful. The sun could simply drop below the horizon and that would be the end of the day. But instead, He paints the sky with colors that make people stop and look. For me, it feels like a quiet reminder that He’s there. I just have to slow down enough to notice.
Prayer
God, thank you for the beauty you put in creation. Thank you for sunsets that remind us to slow down and notice your work. Help us remember your presence and your peace, even on the busiest days. Amen.

Amen. Thank you Emily 🌅
