1 PETER 1:10-12

10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied of the grace intended for you made careful search and inquiry, 11 inquiring about the time and circumstances that the Spirit of Christ within them indicated when it testified in advance to the sufferings intended for Christ and the subsequent glory. 12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in regard to the things that have now been announced to you through those who brought you good news by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look!

The Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Christ) inspires and informs God’s people.

Do you ever wonder where good ideas come from? Do you ever settle down long enough to pray and listen? Have you ever been calmed by a mysterious presence, assuring you that you are loved, treasured, saved?

Maybe that’s the work of the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of Christ.)

The good news from a concept called the Trinity rests in that God is above us, with us, and in us. God inspires and informs us. Through God’s grace we are loved, claimed, and saved. And we are called to believe the Good News.

Prayer

Great God in heaven, thank you for continuing to speak to us earthly creatures of your love and care. Help us to accept what you have so wonderfully done for us in Jesus Christ. We praise you as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
