Christ Kids Program
|
Wednesdays 3:30 - 5:30 September - May
The Christ Kids program meets September through May, from 3:30-5:30 on Wednesday afternoons
at the church. It is open to all 4 year olds through 5th graders and their friends.
Children attending this program enjoy a four-part adventure complete with Bible Studies,
crafts, recreation and music. Various car pools help transport children to the church from a
variety of school locations around Winter Haven. A special brochure is available.

3rd Grade Bibles
|
Each fall all our entering third graders are given a new Good News children's Bible to help them
learn and explore the scriptures. This special presentation happens each September during a worship service.

Acolyte Program
|
Any 1st-5th grade child is invited to serve as an acolyte for the 8:30 or 11:00 worship service.
Training is held on a regular basis for those interested in this special opportunity.

Sunday Enrichment for Preschoolers
|
3-4 year olds -- CE104
Preschool children attending worship are invited to a special enrichment time following the Children’s Sermon.
This is a light-hearted time of Christian play and is supervised by a rotation of parents of children in this age group.
Parents should escort children to their room and pick them up after worship.

God & Family/God & Me Scout Awards
|
Children participating in Brownies and Cub Scouts are invited to work on their God & Family or
God & Me scout awards. These special programs encourage children to learn more about their faith. They can be tailored to fit
any schedule.

Children's Worship Center
|
During 11:00 Sunday Worship - CE203
Kindergarten - 1st graders are invited to the children’s worship center following the children’s time in the 11:00 service.
This center encourages children to learn about the history of our faith through interactive experiences.

Children's Palm Parade

March 16, 2008
Preschool and elementary children participate to lead a palm parade through the sanctuary on Palm Sunday (11:00 worship)
to announce the coming of Jesus to Jerusalem.

Summer Enrichment Program
|
Summer 2008
A special 6-week summer enrichment program for 3-5 year olds meets two mornings a week in June-July.
Registration forms are available in the church office in the Spring. The program is limited to 45 children and fills up quickly.

Vacation Bible School
|
Summer 2008
3 year olds through 5th graders have a wonderful week-long Vacation Bible School
event every summer. It is held in the evening, 6:15-8:30, and it offers a wide variety of
experiences and opportunities for children to grow in faith.

Rotation Workshop Sunday School Program
|
Our exciting model of Sunday morning Christian education for K-5th graders continues!
It involves children in a weekly rotational system of learning, exploring, and
growing through biblical stories. Six centers become weekly rotating classrooms
as children experience drama, cooking, computer Bible games, movies, science, geography, art, and storytelling.

Scouting Program
|
Boy Scouting at FPC has had a long and rich tradition. Troop 121 was chartered prior to 1915, and is the oldest
troop in Florida. Dedicated leaders and youth meet Wednesday evenings for action packed meetings based on teaching
the ideals of Scouting through the Patrol method and the concept of the boy led Troop.
Cub Scout Pack 121 meets every Monday evening for Den and Pack meetings. The unit strives to provide a quality
program with all the traditional events such as the Pinewood Derby, the Blue & Gold Banquet, and many summertime
events. Scouts are placed in age appropriate Dens for a fast paced year of family oriented fun.
FPC also sponsors an excellent program for Girl Scouts. Several groups of Brownies, Cadets,
and Senior Scouts meet in the Girl Scout House at the T. Oakley Andrews Scout House.
